Precipia's analytic tools make use of Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques to quickly uncover knowledge about, and connections between, people, places, organizations, events and other entities that compromise the user's paradigm. Such tools do not replace analysts, but rather empower the analytic process by augmenting human ability and eliminating sources of redundancy.
IVI supports proprietary PSI Entity, Relationship, and Timeline Extraction engines and the Rocket Software's AeroText product suite. Additional domain-specific analytic engines can be integrated with ease and cost efficiency.
Visualizations

Precipia's dynamic visualizations connect data from distributed sources in pursuit of knowledge discovery. Such visualizations highlight subtle patterns which are often the key to early opportunity or threat identification. Analysts can create and store visualizations for later use or leverage them to quickly communicate findings to colleagues and decision makers.
Precipia's core visualizations are currently driven by i2's iXv and java visualization applets. In the future, they will rely heavily on Adobe Flash.
